Bhuvneshwar Kumar born in 1990 is an Indian cricketer who plays for the national team. He plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. Kumar is a right-arm fast-medium bowler and a lower order right-handed batsman.

Kumar made his first-class debut at the age of 17 against Bengal. Kumar made his debut against Pakistan in a Twenty20 match and won the hearts of the selectors who retained him for a reminder of the series that year. His test debut came against Australia in 2003. He could not perform well due to pitch conditions favouring spinners rather than his style of bowling. He also scored reasonably during that test against Australia.

In the Champions trophy in 2013 he had good bowling figures and later in a tri nation tournament held that year he excelled against Srilanka.
