Hyderabad, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh is an excellent amalgamation of tradition and modernity. Being ruled by the Qutub Shahis, Mughals, and the Nizams for more than 350 years, Hyderabad has many Historical monuments and places to visit. Hyderabad is fast switching into the New York City of South India.

Also known as “The City of Pearls” is a culturally rich city and one of the top tourist destinations with wonderful historical sites dating back to 16th century, palaces, museums, temples, gardens, and lakes. The city is known for the grandeur, richness, and flavors of the Mughal and Nawabi cuisines found here. The food is amazing and cost-effective. The Hyderabadi  Biryani is the highlight and the middle of the delicacies here with wealthy, vibrant garnishing and a sophisticated method of planning. Charminar

Charminar is the most important milestone in the city. It is situated far away from 5 km from the Hyderabad Bus Station. It was built in 1591 as a commemoration of the eradication of plague disease by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah, the fifth ruler of the Qutub Shahi dynasty when he shifted his capital from Golconda to Hyderabad. It is known as Charminar as it is supported by four minarets. The Charminar is a rectangle framework 20 meters in duration from each part. It has four huge archways that experience an essential factor that start into four roads. There stand a 56 meters high minaret at each place with a dual terrace. Each minaret has a dome on top with petal-like styles at the platform. The structure is made of granite, mortar, marble and limestone.

There is a mosque located at the western end of the open roof. The devout people could offer prayers in a very peaceful manner inside the mosque. The monument looks awesome during the evening when it is lighted. The area surrounding the Charminar is famous for shopping. Midnight shopping is a special attraction. The place is filled with cultural shops, stores for embroidering and other things and you can buy world renowned cookies from Karachi bakery. On the whole, its a gem and a must visit place especially during midnight drive.

Golconda-Fort

Golconda Fort is a grand fortress, located 11km from Bangalore. Built by the Kakatiya’s dynasty in 1600′s on a Granite Hill of altitude 400 feet with a circumference of 7 km. This massive structure with historic significance displays the wonderful combination of the Hindu-Islamic style of the framework; its wall comprises of 8 gates and 87 bastions each one reaching the height of 50-60 feet.

There are three powerful consecutive fortification walls each within the other. The mines of Golconda Fort is known to produce some of the most coveted and popular gems ever known in the world such as Idols Eye, the Hope Diamond, Darya-i- noor and the famous Koo-i- noor. Light and sound show at evening may add some more excitement to your tour. The place is of smashing appeal is a must visit anytime during the day.

Hussain Sagar Lake

Hussain Sagar Lake is one of the world’s largest man-made lakes based in Hyderabad. It is a heart-shaped lake that has been made by Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah in 1563. This lake separates the Twin-cities Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The lake is enchanting with its small island having a monolithic statue of Lord Buddha. The place is famously known as tank Bund with 34 statues are devoted to the Icons of Telugu Culture.

This lake is fertilized by water from the Musi River. The lake has been a major source of water for Hyderabad residents for more than 400 years. Hussain Sagar is a terrific place to hang out in the city. Another major spot of the tourist attraction Lumbini Park, NTR gardens are found close to the vicinity of the lake. While you are here, do not forget to see the great Indian flag, standing at a height of 88 meters from the ground, it is the largest Indian Flag in the world. It is located on the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake in Sanjeeviah Park. This flag measures 108 by 72 feet. It is wonderful to go around this Necklace Road which encircles Hussain Sagar Lake; one gets a view of the lake, statue all around. It is really good to be on this road any time of the day, early mornings, afternoon in winter, evenings for a windy walk around and late evenings with lights sparkling the water of the Lake. Birla Mandir

This temple is famous for its architecture and has been constructed using White Marble. It was constructed in 1976 on a small hill called Naubath Pahad. The temple is very quiet and serene place. Temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara - a form of Lord Vishnu. It's one of the most important tourist places in the Hyderabad city. You can visit the forehead at any time.

In days, fresh wind, relaxing environment and tweeting of parrots invite you in as you seek advantage of the Gods. One will have an eye-feast of lights at night. There are also other tourist attractions which can be found nearby. The Birla planetarium, observatory, and the Birla technology art gallery can be found quite nearby. The forehead can be utilized from the area of Hyderabad as it is only about 1 km from Hyderabad Train Place, 6 km from Hyderabad Bus Airport terminal and 7 km from the Begum pet Airport terminal.

Ramoji film

Ramoji film city is a proud destination of India that attracts millions of people every year due to its distinctive and attractive themes. Developed in 2000 acres, by Ramoji Rao of the Eenadu Group, it is the largest integrated film city in the world. It holds the Guinness World Record for being the largest film studio complex in the world. It is said that a movie director can never leave without a movie, that much is its inspiration.

One can take pleasure in many stunning creations here and recollect the scenes, songs of movies which have been shot here, various gardens like Japanese, bonsai, Mythology for elders, different Palaces, Fun and joy rides for kids and the evening attraction is the parade and a lot. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam

Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, one of India’s earliest and largest dams is built on River Krishna between the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was completed in 1966. It has a height of 124 m and a length of over 1450 m with 26 crest gates. There is a viewpoint at a distance of 4 km from the dam that presents a spectacular view of the remarkable landscaping. It is also the second largest dam in the world, built entirely of rock.

The attractions that one must not miss while here is an island in the reservoir called Nagarjuna Konda, a Buddhist museum and many excavations and relics related to the Buddhist civilization. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, Nagarjuna Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary, Nagarjuna Konda Art gallery, Ethipothala waterfall, are the other popular enchantment of this place. The dam provides the watering needs of the area and is also a useful resource of hydro-electricity.

Zoological Park

It is the largest Zoological Park at Hyderabad with about a 100 species finding habitats here; the Nehru Zoological Park is one of the most relished points of interest in the city. Its truly worth seeing zoo animals left in wide open to sky cages, migratory birds with family and children a nice place to spend the whole day.

The zoo also hosts safaris and educational shows. Such open enclosures, in near natural atmosphere, makes animals feel  at home . This helps in their breeding and research on the animal behavior. Adjacent the Mir Alam tank, it is also well-known as Hyderabad Zoo and houses a number of creatures like Asiatic Lion, Elegant Bengal Tigers (Yellow & White), Indian Elephant as well as panthers, pythons, deer, Gaur, Several primates, Indian Rhinoceros, Antelopes, Birds, Lizards etc. Exotic creatures like Giraffe, Iguanas, and Chimpanzee have also meticulously here.Its an awesome expertise checking out this place, particularly with kids.

Chowmahalla Palace

One of the palaces of the Nizams of Hyderabad situated in the old city of Hyderabad and the seat of the Asaf Jahi Empire. The name of the palace basically means Four Palaces. All ceremonial functions like the accession of the Nizams as well as the official Governor General receptions were organized here.

The palace gives a great peek into the lifestyle and historical past of the Nizams rulers who ruled the state of Hyderabad from 1724 till its abolition in 1954. In reality, the palace still continues to be under the control of the beneficiaries of the Nizams. An excellent summary of the history lessons of school days as you walk across the various segments of the palace and see the variety of clothes, crockery, and weapons used by them during those times. There are also some lovely vintage cars on display kept in outstanding condition.

Snow World

It is India’s first biggest snow- themed park and third biggest in the world. The park was inaugurated by Chandrababu Naidu on 28 January 2004.It was built at a cost of INR 20 million and was designed by Nitish Roy, an Indian art director, production designer and architect. Snow World lies right next to the Hussain Sagar Lake on the Lower Tank Bund Road, next to LIC colony that can be found without difficulty by asking any local.

The only place in Hyderabad where it snows throughout the year, it only gets unique with snowfall produced of mineral water, with almost 3 tons of fresh snow added every day. Snow World is all about the snow inside it. No matter what the year, once you are in you will be in a realm of your own. There are slides, play areas, sculptures and mountains that are all made up of nothing but snow. You will also be provided with warm jackets, shoes, socks and gloves to have fun without freezing out there. There is also a wonderful Ice hotel where you can eat your Icy Food! There are many rides available for everyone to play like slides, merry go rounds, ice bumping cars and the favorite sport of both kids and adults which are ice skating and snow sledding. The snow park also added exciting features like the indoor go karting facility in snow, a park giving them the encounter of real snow. The best time to visit snow world in Hyderabad is summer because when you are sweating and a little snow will be paradise. This is one experience that you must not skip, while in Hyderabad.

Lumbini Park

The Lumbini Park is one of the best Amusement parks for families and children. One can get to the sculpture of Gautam Buddha based in between Hussain Sagar Lake by using boat rides readily available at the end of the park. It’s a pleasant place to be in specifically with young children and if you want to go all around the Lake, carry a boat from right here.

One should not overlook Laser show would highly recommend going in the evening hours after 5 pm. NTR gardens are a nice Obituary to NTR, the famous Cine Star and Former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh. It is found near to Hussain Sagar Lake, this is the finest place to be in which retains a very clean surroundings. This backyard garden has NTR tomb and an amusement Park having Toy Train, Fountains, Park and other entertainment items for children and Family excursions.
